Help Shape a More Accessible Aberdeen by Becoming a Trustee with Shopmobility Aberdeen

Are you passionate about making a real difference in your community? Shopmobility Aberdeen is looking for dedicated individuals to join our Management Committee as Trustees. We are a small but impactful charity with a big mission: to ensure that everyone living, working, or visiting Aberdeen can navigate the city with confidence and independence. Through our services, including the loan of mobility scooters and wheelchairs, we support people with mobility challenges to access the city and live more freely.

Our work is focused on removing social and physical barriers, advocating for inclusive planning, and reducing isolation. We also run an outreach service called Able Deen, which brings our mobility support into local communities, helping even more people access the resources they need. As we prepare to relaunch this service with a new vehicle and undertake exciting changes like rebranding and updating our legal status, we are seeking new Trustees to help guide our growth and direction.

We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with skills in:

  • Finance,
  • Fundraising,
  • or Marketing

As a Trustee, you will play a key role in shaping our future, ensuring our sustainability, and contributing to the strategic decisions that keep our services running. This is an opportunity to use your expertise to make a lasting impact on the lives of people in Aberdeen.

If you want to be part of a team that is creating a more inclusive city, we would love to hear from you. To find out more or apply, please contact abledeencommittee@gmail.com by the 20th June 2025. Join us at Shopmobility Aberdeen and help make our city accessible for everyone.
